Network Design
Regardless of the size of your organization, how you choose to design your network can have a major impact on its efficiency, speed, and security. Intelesys has worked with many clients — from those with tens of users at a single site to those with thousands of users across many geographically diverse locations — to design and implement highly reliable and functional networks.
During the process of working with you in designing your network, our certified Network Engineers identify and consider the following:
- Based on your current and/or anticipated network traffic volume, how much switching capacity is required?
- Are there any limiting factors in your current network hardware that might have an adverse effect on performance?
- What device(s) in your network are best suited for handling the routing of traffic?
- What standards and protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, etc.) can be utilized to maximize the efficiency of routing on your network?
- How do we need to segment your network to maintain security and isolate different types of traffic?
- How should we apply QoS (Quality of Service) to give priority to certain traffic over others in order to maintain quality and reliability?
- Where might there be the potential for bottlenecks that can negatively impact network performance?
- Where do we need to add redundant connectivity to ensure maximum uptime in the event of a site or equipment outage?
- Are there any areas of your network that need to be physically or virtually "air-gapped" or otherwise restricted to create layers of security within your environment?
Using the information gathered during our exploratory process, our team will create a network design that meets each of the requirements we identify.
